More places to sit at King’s Cross.
King’s Cross is a busy London station, and Mitie wanted to give passengers more places to sit and wait. They needed a partner who could take the seating from first survey to final installation across several areas of the station.
Concept to completion
We surveyed each area, recommended materials and developed design concepts with visuals, so Mitie could see the seating in place before anything was ordered.
Made to fit
Each layout was planned around its space, from a long run against the glazing to single benches set along the brickwork.
Around the columns
Curved sections wrap the concourse columns to make the most of the floor space. The modular design means individual elements can be repaired or replaced if needed.
Supply to installation
We managed manufacture, importation and installation, so the benches arrived on site and went straight into use. The new seating sits naturally alongside the station’s brickwork, giving passengers a place to pause in a busy station.
